When a customer asks about availability, Sniffs pulls the next 7 days from your Google Calendar — including events created outside the platform — and removes them from the offer list. The customer only sees times you can actually take.

GOOGLE CALENDAR FAQ
The questions every groomer asks before connecting.
Does Sniffs.ai support two-way Google Calendar sync?
Yes. Two ways: (1) before offering any time slot to a pet parent, the agent reads your real Google Calendar to check what's already blocked. (2) When a booking is confirmed in chat, SMS, Instagram, WhatsApp, or voice, Sniffs writes the appointment to your calendar as a real event with the pet's name, breed, services, and price.
Which calendar does it write to?
Your primary Google Calendar by default. The OAuth scope we request is the minimal calendar.events scope — we can read and write events, but cannot create new calendars, delete your calendar, or read your contacts.
Will it double-book me?
No. Before offering any time slot, the agent fetches actual blocked slots from your Google Calendar for the next 7 days. Times that conflict with existing events are stripped from the available slot list before they ever reach the customer. This includes events created outside Sniffs (personal appointments, blocks, vendor visits).
Does it work with shared calendars or team calendars?
The integration syncs to a single Google Calendar per groomer account. If you have a shared salon calendar that everyone reads from, point Sniffs at that calendar by signing in with the account that owns it. For multi-groomer setups where each stylist has their own calendar, talk to us — that's on the 2026 roadmap.
How fast does it sync?
Reads happen in real time when a booking inquiry comes in — typically under 200ms. Writes are non-blocking and fire as soon as the booking is confirmed, so the customer doesn't wait. If the calendar API is briefly unavailable, the booking still saves to Sniffs and writes to your calendar on retry.
How do I disconnect?
Settings → Channels → Google Calendar → Disconnect. We immediately revoke the OAuth tokens. You can also revoke access from your Google Account settings → Security → Third-party apps.
Does it work for mobile groomers?
Yes. Mobile groomers are one of the biggest beneficiaries of two-way calendar sync because their schedule is the schedule. The agent uses your existing calendar blocks (drive time, lunch, family commitments) as constraints and only offers slots between them.
